Bernie Amell was the principal co-author of this policy document that was prepared in the early 1980’s. It has been used to guide road design work in Kananaskis Country and other significant natural areas. Subsequently, he served as an environmental designer on numerous highway urban freeway projects including: Transcanada Highway Twinning Banff National Park, Deerfoot Trail, and Stoney Trail.
