Working as a subconsultant to Dillon Consulting, Bernie Amell was the principal environmental designer for a stormwater pond and wetland system under construction in North Glenmore Park. The design will create a hybrid natural/ornamental environment in recognition of these two aspects of the overall park. While aesthetics were given a great deal of consideration, the desire to minimize contaminants being released to the Glenmore Reservoir the prime objective for the wetland (the reservoir is the drinking water supply for ~50% of Calgary).
