Prince of Peace Village Stormwater Reuse, Calgary

This 600-unit retirement village is being built on a rural site beyond the water infrastructure limits of Calgary.  Stormwater and irrigation systems were integrated to maximize water reuse potentials on-site while creating ponds and wetlands as amenities.  The open space and water management system has also been designed to accommodate runoff from 1:100 year storm events without discharge to adjacent properties.  The project was completed in 2003.  It is to date the largest stormwater reuse site in southern Alberta.
