Most of Riparia’s projects feature ecological construction, conservation or restoration. In addition, we have projects involving sustainable landscape design, such as source control stormwater management.
All of Riparia’s projects were designed on interdisciplinary teams, typically with Riparia serving as a subconsultant to a civil engineering firm. In this capacity, Riparia enjoys a collaborative relationship with numerous civil engineering firms operating in Alberta and British Columbia.
While responding to a wide range of water quality and environmental parameters, Riparia’s projects reflect the benefits of integrative interdisciplinary design, enabling the development of projects with multiple benefits that have long-term sustainability. It is our conviction and experience that this approach leads to low life-cycle costs and a greater sense of community ownership.
